"Hey there! Welcome back to Pebbleton. 🥰"
You'll play as a lil guy (or gal!) that runs a Cat Cafe and Financial Education Wagon ™, coming back to your hometown of Pebbleton after a long career in the corporate world and years of generating shareholder value. Your goal is simple - you've cracked the code on how to be financially free, and it's been your dream to teach others, as well as run a silly little cat cafe! The main problem? You only have one (1) cat.
Meet townsfolk throughout Pebbleton, teach them about things like Roth IRAs and HSAs and mortgages, and find cats to add to your cafe! Every three-star earns you cat toys, hats, and cafe ingredients (because you're refusing to accept money), alongside the fulfillment and joy of being able to help old friends and new ones. Enjoy the simple life, full of fresh pastries, grumpy cats, and cute townsfolk.
And remember, This is Not Financial Advice!
"It's the money class your school forgot to teach! Learn by doing, helping, and growing."
"In This Is Not Financial Advice; The Money Learning Game, you help townsfolk and play through rounds representing their lives, making "years" of actual financial decisions and learning how to use the personal finance tools of today."
Each "year," you get emails guiding you through bills, accounts to open (and what they mean!), and life events to navigate.
Every choice you make for your townsfolk ripples forward through their life — aim to keep their happiness up along the way.
Earn and save up enough to hit net worth goals, and fulfill dreams like owning a cat, traveling to Japan, buying a house, or starting a business.
At the end of the level, you see your net worth, your score, and a projection of where you'd land by retirement if you kept those habits up!
